Technical safety of equipment on sea and river vessels

The equipment used at hazardous production facilities or plants requires maintenance and assessment of technical conditions with documentary evidence of the possibility of further safe operation. The paper considers the complex of necessary operations, basic provisions and the procedure for compiling a technical expert opinion of security; it allows in a concise form to indicate defects and make recommendations for maintenance of the controlled equipment and its components

Features of professional training of marine engineers in the Arctic region

Some features of the educational programme of marine engineers' training in the Marine Academy of the Murmansk State Technical University have been studied. The indicators of the quality of specialists' training have been analyzed. The system of marine education in the MSTU has been proved to be effective, and the level of engineers' training allows carry out the tasks of the Arctic region development
